The danger of their propaganda, the “obsession” with superior attacks, the “annoyingness” to immigrants and the aversion to Jews. These are the elements that emerged against two minor internet users who were ordered to stay at home by the juvenile courts of Salerno and Turin.
This is the development of an investigation into a large-scale international police operation coordinated by the Eurojust and Europol agencies, which on November 9, 2023 allowed the dismantling of a network of Internet users called “Sturmjager Division” operating in at least six European countries. (Belgium, Lithuania, Croatia, Romania, Germany and Italy), ready to commit acts of violence. Anti-Semitic, xenophobic and apologetic content of Nazism was disseminated within the network.
The investigation was conducted in Italy by the Digos in Turin and Salerno, with Cyber Security Operations Centers in Turin and Naples, and was directed by the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office in Turin and Salerno, with the coordination of the National Office for the Fight against the Mafia and the Fight against the Mafia. -Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office and for operational profiles of the Central Directorate of Preventive Police and Postal and Communications Police Services. And two minors, now recipients of measures, were subjected to searches. The two initially browsed the net and later left to join another Telegram group of the same origin.
At the “Sturmjager Division” huts, characterized by a strong tendency towards violence as well as the use of widespread symbolism including the swastika, “skull mask” and “black sun”, actual manuals for attacking and sabotaging critical infrastructure as well as instructions for the production of weapons, especially explosives, Molotov cocktails and caustic chemicals.
In this virtual context, internet users have shown tendencies to hate, even making themselves available to commit crimes in the name of their professed ideologies and to attack Jews, Muslims and anyone deemed to be an “inferior race”, cultivating a veritable “cult” against racists responsible for serious terrorist attacks such as the massacre in Utoya (Norway) in 2011 and the massacre in Christchurch (New Zealand) in 2019.
